Health First Colorado
Health First Colorado is Colorado’s Medicaid program, providing low- or no-cost health coverage for eligible residents, including dental benefits. So you and your family can access essential care, from preventive services to restorative treatments, without financial barriers.
Health First Colorado for Young People (ages 18-20)
Colorado’s Medicaid program helps young adults access important preventive and restorative dental care for no additional cost. Regular exams and cleanings can help prevent cavities, identify problems early, and support healthy teeth and gums as patients grow.
For patients ages 20 and under, Health First Colorado also provides coverage for many restorative and surgical services, including:
- Fillings
- Crowns
- Root canals
- Certain gum and oral surgery procedures, including wisdom tooth removal
- Certain sedation services
This can be especially valuable for teens and young adults who need treatment for cavities or developing wisdom teeth. Some procedures require prior approval from Health First Colorado, and our team can help patients and families better understand their benefits and treatment options.
